We traveled to Portugal to host the Mastercard Innovation Forum, the annual event dedicated to driving innovation and digital transformation. Upon arrival, we faced a significant challenge that required swift and impeccable crisis management: due to wildfire alerts in the area, authorities had closed the venue until further notice, making it impossible to hold MIF Portugal 2024 at the chosen location. Our efficient and expert team managed to secure a new venue within just 48 hours that met all the technical and scenic requirements of the MIF without missing a single detail. The event was able to proceed as planned and under optimal conditions, starting with a series of motivational talks focused on innovation and technology, followed by a networking space with a demo area designed specifically for the event, where attendees could experience firsthand the technologies presented by Mastercard. The entire event adhered to sustainability standards, including working with local suppliers holding sustainability certifications, using sustainable materials, and emphasizing recycling throughout the day. As a surprise element, we showcased the UEFA Cup at the conference, allowing attendees to take photos with it and take home personalized framed pictures.
